Dive One

Site: Casa Blanca
Max Depth: 55 feet
Dive Time: 45 minutes
Key Animals: Caribbean Octopus, Nurse Shark, Hawksbill Turtle
Visibility: 100+ feet
Notes:  Mackenzie and Riley are just about to finish with their certification, Michel and Cameron join along for the special occasion. Today we plan to see the octopus mother we have been keeping track of, so nice to see it one more time, then the shark shows and Jenny has proof of it in her camera. Will stayed with Mike to make sure all is on the video, Mike was in charge of it with his professional camera, when we surfaced we all were really impressed with this dive site, it is always beautiful.

Dive Two

Site: Yucab Reef
Max Depth: 50 feet
Dive Time: 50 minutes
Key Animals: Nurse Shark, Oceanic Triggerfish, Hawksbill turtle
Visibility: 100+ feet
Notes:  We descended very slow, Mackenzie felt a bit of pressure in her ear, after a few feet below did not bother her anymore. I asked them to achieve neutral buoyancy and all went perfect. That gave us the chance to find many fish. The shark was swimming towards the deepest part of the site, then a good size school of trigger fish was passing by, this reef has many lobster under the shelf, cool!

Porites porites, the Finger coral, and what appears to be an endless field of it on Palancar Reef.
